GAMES

HotShots games are played on Friday evenings and throughout the day on Saturday. All games are played at elementary and middle schools in the Vancouver and Evergreen school districts. Even though your team will practice at a fixed location each week, your team's game locations can vary from week to week depending on your opponent. While making game schedules, HotShots keeps in mind where teams are from, attempting to schedule as many games as possible close to home.

Games are played by two 20-minute halves. All grade levels play on standard 10' hoops. For a complete listing of HotShots game rules, CLICK HERE.

Ball sizes are as follows:

Youth/Junior 27.5” for boys & girls grades 1 – 4

Women’s/Intermediate 28.5” for boys & girls grades 5 & 6

We must remember that we are guests in the schools that we play our games in, and it is imperative that we follow all district rules regarding gym usage. Please help us maintain a good relationship with the Vancouver and Evergreen school districts by doing the following:

• Arrive to your game site no more than 15 minutes before tip-off. Game sites will open 15 minutes before the first scheduled game at each location.
• Assist your coach in leaving the gym CLEAN after each game. Please pick up all water bottles, jackets and other items brought with you. Each team is required to have a Gym Monitor to see that this is done.
• Please help re-stack chairs if your game is the final game of the day.
• Remember that NO FOOD OR DRINKS (other than water) are allowed in the gym. Please distribute all post-game treats outside the building.
• Keep players (and non-participating siblings) off of stages and bleachers, and be sure they are supervised in the restrooms.
• Do not allow players (or siblings of players) in any other areas of the school, other than the gym or the restroom. Classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and all other parts of the building are off limits.
• Do not smoke ANYWHERE on school property, including outdoors or in the parking lot. Smoking on school grounds is illegal in the state of Washington.
• Treat the janitors and the buildings with respect.
